With IKEA Home Planner you can plan furniture distribution on your new home before actually moving into it, or redecorate any room in your house with your favorite pieces of IKEA furniture. The program doesn't include the complete IKEA catalog, but it helps you get an idea of how the new decoration will look like ? without having to move heavy tables and shelves around.
IKEA Home Planner is very easy to use. You can switch between top perspective or a 3D render view, and also build the room itself (walls, doors, windows, etc.) before starting to add furniture. Plus, the program shows highly-detailed information about each item you add, including measurements, and all available colors. One big drawback, however, is the fact that the program doesn't include furniture for the living room.
Once you're done with the decoration, IKEA Home Planner also lets you calculate the final price so that you can manage your budget more effectively.

Firefox 17 also now features secure connections when performing Google searches to improve privacy and there's an updated site identity indicator in the URL bar. Windows users also now get silent updates while Mac users on Lion or above can use Firefox in full-screen mode.
Mozilla Firefox's new tab layout itself is a pretty noticeable new feature. Quite similar to Google's Chrome browser, instead of seeing a blank page whenever a new tab is opened Firefox users will now be treated to icons that offer quick access to everything from bookmarks to most recently accessed and most frequently visited sites.
These icons are fully customizable in Mozilla Firefox as well. You can click and drag them to any spot you like on your name tab's page. If you're not a fan, you can also go to the grid icon on the upper right side of your browser and erase them entirely.
Mozilla Firefox 17's interface isn't much different from previous versions, but the features it has added certainly make for a nicer, more enjoyable browsing experience overall.

RetroUI is a simple customization software that allows users to hide or get rid of the Windows 8 Modern UI entirely.
In earlier betas of Windows 8, the operating system would boot directly to the traditional Windows desktop. When Windows 8 Consumer Preview came out, that changed and the operating system would only boot into the Modern UI by default with no way to change it back.
RetroUI solves this by allowing users to hide or disable the Modern UI entirely. If you absolutely detest the Modern UI, RetroUI may make Windows 8 usable. Unfortunately, it isn't a true solution for making Windows 8 function more like the traditional Windows operating system.
RetroUI has the option to change the default login behavior of Windows 8 by booting directly to the desktop and unlocking the screen to the desktop instead of the Modern UI. This is good for those who don't want to be taken back into the Modern UI each time. RetroUI also has the option to completely disable the Modern UI, Charms, and hot corners. This severely impacts the usability of the operating system as there is no way to access a traditional "Start menu."
Overall, RetroUI is a half-hearted attempt at making Windows 8 more usable to those who want a more traditional Windows experience. To get the features you really want, you'll have to upgrade to RetroUI Pro.
